CGC University launches Rs 50 crore scholarship programme with special aid for NE students

CGC University, Mohali - a NAAC A+accredited institution ranked in NIRF- has unveiled its flagship CGCUET Scholarship Programme worth Rs 5 0 crore to empower meritorious students nationwide, with targeted support for those from North East States.
The prestigious launch took place at the Manipur Press Club on March 22, attended by media, educators, and stakeholders.
Dr Hitesh Kalota, General Manager of Admissions & Marketing, outlined the university's vision of making world-class education accessible to students across India, especially from underserved regions.
A standout feature is the Special Financial Aid Scholarship Policy for North East students, offering an extra Rs 8,000 per semester on top of any existing awards, regardless of category.
This builds on CGC University's expanded scholarship fund, which has grown from Rs 7 crore to Rs 50 crore since its founding.
Speaking at the launch, Dr Kalota emphasized, "CGC University is committed to nurturing talent from every comer of India.
Through the CGCUET Programme and our dedicated support for North East students, we aim to remove financial barriers and create pathways for academic and professional success".
