Assam Rifles provides life-saving medical aid to road accident victims

Senapati, July 22 2026:
Assam Rifles personnel provided prompt medical assistance to two civilians injured in a road accident near Lairouching in Senapati district early Tuesday morning.
According to reports, the accident involving a Maruti Suzuki Eeco van and a motorcycle occurred around 4.30 am near the main gate of an Assam Rifles establishment at Lairouching.
The motorcycle was reportedly being ridden by a teenage boy and girl, who sustained non-fatal injuries in the accident.
On noticing the incident, Assam Rifles personnel immediately rushed to the spot and evacuated the injured to the unit's Medical Inspection Room (MI Room), where they were administered first aid and stabilised.
An Assam Rifles ambulance was subsequently pressed into service to transport both injured persons to Senapati District Hospital for further medical evaluation and treatment.
Simultaneously, the secretary of Lairouching village was informed about the incident and coordinated with local residents, who accompanied the injured to the hospital.
