TS Paul Women's College holds symposium on Environment Day

A College Level Symposium Competition on the theme "Inspired by Nature.
For Climate.
For Our Future" was held at T.S.Paul Manipur Women's College, Mongshangei, to mark World Environment Day 2026 and the International Day for Biological Diversity 2026 .
The programme aimed to raise awareness on environmental conservation, biodiversity protection, and sustainable development.
A Rahul Singh, Junior Research Officer, Directorate of Environment and Climate Change, attended as chief guest, while W Kirana Devi, Head, Department of Environmental Science, TS Paul Manipur Women's College, was the guest of honour.
Principal Ksh Devendra Singh presided over the function, and K Brajamani Singh, HOD, Department of Geography, moderated the event.
Dr N Suraj Kumar, Department of English, and Dr Kh Rajukumar Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Environmental Science, served as jury members.
Students from various departments presented papers on nature-based solutions, climate action, ecological balance, and biodiversity conservation.
The presentations encouraged scientific thinking and environmental responsibility.
The organising committee lauded the students for their innovative ideas and active participation.
The programme ended with the distribution of certificates and cash prizes to the winners, followed by a vote of thanks.
