Workshop on International Year of Quantum Science and Technology starts

Imphal, February 22 2025: A three-day workshop on International Y ear of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ) commenced today at the conference hall of Manipur University Physics Department yesterday.

The workshop was jointly organised by the Research Institute of Science and Technology (RIST) Manipur and Manipur Science and Technology Council (MASTEC).

Held in connection with the National Science Day Celebration 2025, the event was attended by Kengoo Zuringla, Secretary, Science &Technology as the chief guest; Professor N Nimai, president.

Workshop IYQ as the functional president and Professor A Dilipkumar, Head, Physics Department, MU and Professor Murli Manohar Verma, Dean, Research and Development Cell, Lucknow University as the guests of honour.

Notably, Professor C Amuba, Professor Th Jekendra, Professor N Rajmuhon, Professor Sh Dorendrajit and Professor S Subhaschandra Singh presented their papers during the morning and evening technical sessions on the first day.

Poster presentations for the research scholars, interaction with eminent scientists from across the globe and workshop sessions by notable physicists will be the main attractions of the second and third day of the 3-day workshop.
