Imphal, September 20 2026: As part of the 9th Rashtriya Poshan Maah, a programme was organised today by ICDS Project Imphal East-I Sawombung at Keibi Heikak Mapal Community Hall, Imphal East.

The programme was held as part of the month-long observance being held across the country from September 9 to October 8.A painting competition for children upto 6 years of age was also organised.

The programme held under the theme "Our Anganwadi Our Responsibilities" as part of Poshan Abhiyaan was attended by District Programme Officer of Imphal East ICDS Cell RK Malasana, CDPO of Imphal East-I Sawombung Kangujam Devananda Meetei and Poshan Tracker State Coordinator N Guneshor and others.

Kangujam Devananda said the programme aims to ensure the well-being of children and mothers by promoting nutritious food habits.

He said the initiative seeks to create awareness on balanced diet and its preparation, while experts will guide mothers on proper childcare practices at home.
