Imphal, August 20 2025: Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla inaugurated "Lamangdong Ima Keithel" at Bishnupur district headquarters today.

The double storey building of the Lamangdong Ima Keithel was built under the Special Assistance for State Capital Infrastructure (SASCI) scheme with an estimated cost of Rs 7.5 crore.

The building has the capacity to accommodate 450 vendors.

It has modem lighting systems, fans, and a parking space.

Governor Bhalla inaugurated the building in presence of MLA Govindas Konthoujam, Deputy Commissioner Pooja Elangbam, former Chief Secretary O Nabakishore, police officials and members of the public.

After the inauguration, the Governor, along with his wife, visited the Sadu Chiru Waterfall in Kangpokpi district, adjoining Bishnupur district, and witnessed the serene beauty of the waterfall.

The Sadu Chiru Village Authority, led by its representatives, welcomed the Governor and submitted a memorandum requesting support for the reopening of the tourist spot.

The DC and SP of Kangpokpi district and several other officials accompanied the Governor during the visit.
