Assam Rifles strengthens bonds with veterans and Veer Naris in Kanglatongbi

In a moving tribute to legacy and loyalty, Assam Rifles hosted an interaction session with Ex-Servicemen and Veer Naris at the community hall of Assam Rifles Colony, Kanglatongbi, Manipur, marking the spirit of Independence Day with dignity and warmth.
According to a release issued by the IGAR (South), the event organised in collaboration with the All Manipur Gorkha Ex-Servicemen's Association, brought together retired personnel from the Assam Rifles, Army, Central Armed Police Forces, and their families.
The gathering witnessed an inspiring turnout of participants, ex- servicemen Veer Naris, and serving personnel, reflecting the enduring bond between generations of the armed forces.
The session was graced by local dignitaries and supported wholeheartedly by Assam Rifles officials, who reaffirmed the force's commitment to its veteran community.
A key feature of the event was the grievance redressal forum, which provided a respectful and responsive platform for retired personnel and Veer Naris to share their concerns.
Each issue was attentively recorded by a dedicated clerk, and immediate suggestions for resolution were offered, showcasing the force's proactive approach to veteran welfare.
By bridging the past and present, Assam Rifles continues to uphold its motto - "Friends of the North East, Sentinels of the North East" - not just in operations, but in heartfelt outreach that strengthens the social fabric of the region.
