2-day RAMP entrepreneurship workshop concludes at Salemthar

The two-day Entrepreneurship Knowledge Programme under Component 5.2 of the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Programme concluded on Saturday at Salemthar Village Community Hall in Chandel district.
Organized by Manipur Technology Innovation Hub (MTI-HUB) under Manipur State IT Society (MSITS), with Hands Of Peoples Empowerment (HOPE) as organising partner and Cornerstone LAMPS Ltd as collaborator, the workshop drew aspiring entrepreneurs from across Chandel.
The concluding programme was attended by Th Bijoy Singh, General Manager, DIC Chandel, as chief guest and Chumsha Clement Ngoruw, Block-in-Charge, DAO Chandel, as the guest of honour.
In his chief guest address, Th Bijoy Singh explained the objective of RAMP and the benefits of MSME.
He urged the SHG members present to register for UDYAM and to work hard on entrepreneurship to be able to provide employment for themselves and others.
He stressed the importance of industry and commerce and the role it plays in uplifting societal welfare.
He also elaborated on various schemes under DIC for artisans, farmers, and others.
Chumsha Ngoruw explained the Government benefits available to individuals and SHGs under LAMPS.
He outlined various schemes under the Agriculture Department and encouraged everyone to pursue self-employment and set an example for others, especially women, to empower themselves.
The workshop ended with a vote of thanks from Ng Koringam Moyon, Secretary, Cornerstone LAMPS Ltd, followed by distribution of certificates to the participants.
The workshop is part of RAMP's Component 5.2 - Support to Aspiring Entrepreneurs, backed by the Ministry of MSME, Manipur State Government, MANIDCO, MSITS, and The World Bank.
