PMMVY special enrolment drive begins in Kakching

Kakching, July 16 2025: Under the supervision of the District Administration Kakching, special enrolment drive/camp for the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) beneficiaries was conducted today in the district at Sugnu Bazar and Kakching Khunou.

Organised by the District Programme Officer/Child Development Project Officer of the ICDSCell (Kakching), the special enrolment drive/camp is held for identification and registration of PMMVY beneficiaries across the district.

The drive will continue till July 31, 2025.It may be mentioned that, the PMMVY is a Centrally sponsored flagship scheme by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India which aims to support pregnant women and lactating mothers.

The scheme is to provide maternity benefits to women belonging to socially and economically weaker sections of the society.
