District Administration orders removal of unauthorized structures in Bishnupur

Bishnupur, July 14 2025: The District Administration of Bishnupur has issued a firm directive for the removal of all unauthorized structures and accumulated debris from roads, footpaths, and public spaces located within the district of Bishnupur by July 21, 2025 .

The order comes in re sponse to rising incidents of encroachment that have led to public inconvenience, traffic obstruction creating safety hazards to the commuters.

The order issued by Pooja Elangbam, Deputy Commissioner of Bishnupur, mandates concerned encroachers to remove their structures or debris within the stipulated time and warned that failure to comply with the order will result in strict legal action under the relevant laws, and will lead to eviction, demolition and removal of the structures, items and debris by the District Administration, District Police and various Line Departments.
