AR to celebrate I-Day with special band performance at Kangla

Imphal, August 11 2025: As part of the celebrations marking India's 7 9th Independence Day, Assam Rifles will be presenting a special band performance at the Western Gate of the Kangla Fort in Imphal.

The event will feature two performances on August 12, 13 & 15, 2025, from 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm .

As per a release issued by HQ IGAR( South), the 30-minute musical tribute will commemorate the victory of Operation Sindoor, conducted from May 7 to 10, as a response to the dastardly Pahalgam terror attacks.

The performances will feature patriotic tunes and serve as a heartfelt homage to the brave Armed Forces who carried out precision strikes on terror bases.

The event will be open to the public and will be held in front of the Western Gate of Kangla Fort.

The Assam Rifles encouraged maximum public participation, to show solidarity and pride during these momentous celebrations.
