Imphal, October 10 2025: The Right To Information (RTT) Week celebration organised by Manipur Information Commission (MIC) came to a close today at theDIPR auditorium in Keishampat.

The week-long celebration was sponsored by the Department of Personnel and Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions.

Today's valedictory ceremony was graced by Koijam Radhashyam Singh, State Chief Information Commissioner (CIC); Th Ibobi, former State CIC; and Oinam Sunil, State CIC (i/c) as presidium members.

At the event, speakers informed that the RTI Act is a pivotal law that empowers Indian citizens to request and receive information from public authorities, thereby promoting transparency and accountability in Government.

They shared that the Act allows citizens to access documents, records, and other information, and it makes Government officials answerable for their actions and decisions.

Later, prizes were distributed to the winners of the State Level RTI Essay Competition.
