WMG College teachers laud Dr Okram Parlin on National Award

Thoubal, February 09 2026: The Teachers' Association of Waikhom Mani Girls' College, Thoubal, has expressed heartfelt appreciation and extended warm congratulations to Dr Okram Parlin, Lecturer and Head, Department of Physical Education, on being conferred the National Best Physical Education Teacher Award-2026.The prestigious award was presented by the Physical Education Foundation of India under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, at a function held at NDMC Convention Centre, New Delhi, on February 6, 2026.Describing the honour as a matter of immense pride, the association stated that the national-level recognition reflects Dr Parlin's excellence, dedication and sustained contribution to the field of physical education and sports development, not only for the institution but also for the state of Manipur.

The Teachers' Association further acknowledged Dr Okram Parlin's significant role in promoting physical education and youth development and wished him continued success in all his future endeavours.
