NoDWJU welcomes new Noney SP

Noney, May 05 2026: The Noney District Working Journalists' Union (NoDWJU) on Tuesday extended a warm welcome to the newly posted Superintendent of Police, Divya, during a courtesy call at her office chamber.

During the interaction, members of NoDWJU expressed optimism for continued cooperation and coordination between the media fraternity and the police department.

Both sides underscored the importance of transparency, public safety, and responsible reporting in serving the larger public interest.

The union, which was formed in December 2021 and is affiliated with the All Manipur Working Journalists' Union, reiterated its commitment to upholding journalistic ethics while supporting the district administration in maintaining peace and promoting development.

Divya, IPS, has taken charge from outgoing SP Namsadai Piter Pamei.

The union placed on record its appreciation for his efforts in maintaining law and order and ensuring peace in the district.

NoDWJU further expressed its willingness to work closely with the new SP to contribute towards the overall progress of Noney district and to strengthen a peaceful and effective law enforcement system.
