Assam Rifles provides timely medical aid following road accident in Kamjong

Kamjong, April 05 2026:
Assam Rifles extended prompt medical assistance following a road accident near Phaikoh in Kamjong District on April 4, 2026.According to a release issued by IGAR (South), the incident involved a Maruti Eeco vehicle carrying two youths from the Tangkhul community which met with an accident in the vicinity of the village.
Upon receiving information, a Quick Reaction Team from the Nampisha Company Operating Base was immediately mobilised to the site to initiate rescue and relief operations.
The team swiftly secured the area and ensured the safe evacuation of both individuals from the accident site.
One of the injured, 22-year-old Hanmanthing, had sustained a leg injury during the mishap.
He was moved to the Nampisha MI Room where officials and troops administered immediate first aid.
Following initial stabilisation, he was evacuated to a higher medical facility for advanced treatment.
The family members of the youth were promptly informed of the incident and the medical intervention provided.
He is presently reported to be out of danger.
This swift response ensured timely medical care, preventing further complications and providing critical support during the emergency.
The successful rescue and subsequent medical aid reflect a continued commitment to assisting the public in times of need.
