Kakching farmers undertake exposure visit to KVK Andro under WDC-PMKSY 2.0

Kakching, December 30 2025: An exposure visit to the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK)-Andro, Imphal East district, was organised on Monday under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana-Watershed Development Component 2.0 (WDC-PMKSY 2.0) for the Kakching District.

The exposure visit aimed at providing participating farmers with practical exposure and technical understanding of improved agricultural practices and allied activities.

During the visit, the farmers interacted with experts from Krishi Vigyan Kendra-Andro, to gain insights into strengthening field-level implementation of ongoing programmes.

Around 60 farmers and members from WDC-PMKSY 2.0 project villages, including Langmeidong, Elangkhgangpokpi, Waikhong Laimanai, Tangjeng, Serou and Wangoo of Kakching district, took part in the visit.

It may be mentioned that the objectives of the watershed development projects are to improve productive potential of rainfed/degraded land through integrated watershed management and to strengthen community based local institutions for promotion of livelihoods and watershed sustainability.

Also to improve the efficiency of watershed projects through cross learning and incentive mechanisms.
