Thoubal, December 29 2025: The 45th Meira Paibi Day was observed on Monday at Athokpam Meira Paibi Hall, Athokpam Keithel, with a programme organised by the Athokpam Meira Paibi Apunba Lup (AMPAL) in collaboration with Nupi Samaj.

The event was attended by Leimakin president MC Rita Devi; AMPAL advisors Leimapokpam Leiren Devi and Athokpam Sobita Leima; TMC ward no 7 councillor and AMPAL advisor Yumnam Premabati Devi; Nupi Samaj advisor S Ibenungshi Leima; CADA president Hijam Priyokumar; Thoubal EMA vice-president Kh Memma Leima; Heirok Apunba Meira Paibi Lup president Gunamani Devi; and Social Activist Nonibala Narengbam, among others, who were present as presidium members.

During the programme, speakers highlighted the historical evolution of the Meira Paibi movement in Manipur and underscored the pivotal role played by Meira Paibis in safeguarding social values, promoting peace, and contributing to the welfare of society and the State over the years.
