Imphal, May 27 2025: English, Manipuri and Tangkhul translations of Korean language novel "Someday When We Look at the Same Star" were released at the conference hall of Manipur University's Korea Comer today.

The Korean novel was written by Korean actor and director Cha In-pyo.

The book release ceremony was attended by Professor Nameirakpam Pramodini, Dean, School of Humanities, Manipur University; Professor Hyunkyung Lee, Program Director, For-eign Language Department, MU; Dr Minjae park, in-charge faculty of Book Translation and Dr A Romita, Head, Foreign Language Department.

At the event, Dr A Romita shared that this is the first "translation activity" of the Department carried out by MA 1st year students under the guidance of Dr Minjae Park.

She added that the Department will work towards releasing more translated works in the future.

As a part of the ceremony, certificates were awarded to the translating students by the Department.
