KDBA hosts legal awareness programme

Kakching, October 25 2025: The Kakching District Bar Association (KDBA), in continuation of its ongoing series of legal awareness programmes which began on July 12, 2025, conducted a legal awareness programme at Irengband High School, Irengband.

The awareness programme organised in collaboration with Deputy Commissioner of Kakching and ZEO Kakching, was attended by Nongmaithem Madhu Singh, advocate and president of KDBA as chief guest; along with Naorem Jameson Singh, advocate and secretary of KDBA, and Mayanglamba Premdash Singh, advocate and treasurer of KDBA, who served as resource persons.

"During the programme, the resource persons delivered insightful talks on the topics of POCSO Act, 2012, and Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006."Later as part of the event, a quiz competition was also conducted on the same topics.

Students who provided correct answers were awarded prizes as a form of encouragement.
