Lamlai MLA inaugurates livelihood centres

Imphal, April 25 2025: Lamlai AC MLA Kh Ibomcha on Friday inaugurated two livelihood centres to empower the internally displaced people who have been forced to take shelter at relief camps.

Speaking at the inaugural function held at Sawombung Relief Camp, Kh Ibomcha said that the newly inaugurated Poinu IDPs Livelihood Centre, Sawombung and Saiyon IDPs Livelihood Centre, Sajiwa will play a major role in restoring the livelihood of IDPs.

Stating that the centres are well equipped with looms and other weaving equipment, he urged the IDPs to not be discouraged and use the equipment wisely for income generation.

The MLA also expressed concern over the prevailing situation of the State and called for collective effort to restore peace & normalcy in Mainpur.

Biramangol College Sawombung Relief Camp convenor W Birenkumar Moirangcha was also present at the inaugural function.
