CoFT hosts programme for FPCs

Imphal, November 24 2025:
A 3-day training programme on "Food Processing, Value Addition, Food Safety Standards & Packaging Excellence" for the Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs) of Manipur was kicked off at CAU- College of Food Technology, Lamphelpat today.
The training is organized by the College of Food Technology (Central Agricultural University), Lamphelpat and sponsored by the Manipur Organic Mission Agency (MOMA), Department of Horticulture & Soil Conservation, said a press release.
The inaugural session was attended by K Debadutta Sharma, Director, Department of Horticulture & Soil Conservation as the chief guest; Phijam Surjakanta, Designated Officer, Food Safety Administration and Dr Bhavna C Soso, University Medical Officer at Central Agricultural University as guests of honour while Professor Ng Iboyaima Singh, Dean, College of Food Technology, CAU, Imphal presided over the inaugural programme.
Donald Soubam, Mission Director, MOMA also attended the programme.
Around 32 participants from 16 Farmer Producer Companies from different parts of the State registered for the training which will be imparted by the specialized faculties of the CoFT .
