Imphal, October 24 2025: Veihriilo Lanah, winner of the Mister Deaf India 2025 was feted at the office of the Social Welfare Department at North AOC today.

The felicitation programme was jointly organised by the State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities and the Social Welfare Department.

Waikhom Bihari, State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities presented Rs 30,000 to Veihriilo Lanah.

Now a resident of Sangakpham, Veihriilo was born in Senapati.

Veihriilo Lanah will represent at the 12th Mister Deaf Universe 2025 in Italy's Lecce from November 28 to December 8 .

Lanah's remarkable achievement is not only a personal triumph but also a matter of great pride for the State of Manipur and the entire Nation.

His journey reflects courage, determination and the unyielding spirit of persons with disabilities who continue to "inspire us all", said the State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities.

"We are confident that he will not only represent India with grace and dignity but also carry forward the message of inclusion, empowerment, and equal opportunity for all," Bihari said.
