NYP General Assembly highlights youth leadership and social responsibility

The Manipur State Council of the National Youth Project (NYP) convened its General Assembly 2026 today at Charu Mandop (LalaMandir), Khangabok Pt-I Khullakpam Leikai.
The programme was graced by principal of YK College, Wangjing, Dr Khundrakpam Jugindro Singh as the chief guest; while president of the NYP Manipur State Council Yumnam Khogen Singh presided over the function as the functional president.
Among the dignitaries present at the gathering were former Khangabok Zilla Parishad member Khundrakpam Rajmohon Singh; vice-president of the Kho-Kho Federation of India, Moirangthem Modhusudon Singh; founder-cum principal of Wisdom Foundation, Laishram Sobha Singh; proprietor of Athokpam Indane Gas Services, Okram Budhi Singh; principal of KM Blooming Hr Sec School, Dr Khundrakpam Romenkumar Mangang, IWCDC secretary Annie Mangshatabam; and secretary of the National Youth Project, Manipur, E Nandarani Devi, who attended as guests of honour.
During the programme, resource persons Dr Basanta, Laishram Bijoykumar Singh, and Kh Lilachandra spoke extensively on the aims and objectives of the NYP and highlighted the responsibilities of youths in nation-building and social responsibility.
Speakers during the event stressed the importance of discipline, leadership qualities and constructive participation of youths in every sector of society.
They also elaborated on the values and ethical principles necessary for young people to become responsible leaders capable of contributing toward the development of a healthy and progressive society.
