Financial literacy programme held at Ukhrul

Ukhrul, January 24 2026: A one-day sensitisation and awareness programme on financial literacy and various government schemes for weavers and artisans was held today at Greenland Community Hall, Ukhrul.

The programme was organised by the District Handlooms & Textiles, Ukhrul, Government of Manipur, under the sponsorship of Directorate of Handloom & Textiles, Government of Manipur.

The event aimed at equipping local weavers and artisans with essential knowledge on financial management, banking facilities and welfare schemes designed for their socioeconomic upliftment.

Project Manager of District Handlooms & Textiles, Manipur, S Phungringla; Branch Manager of State Bank of India, Ukhrul, Ts John Monsang; General Manager of DIC Ukhrul, Themreityo T Awungshi attended the programme as, presidium members.
