Imphal, July 23 2026: Under the supervision of the District Agriculture Office, Imphal East, Madhu and Sanahanbi Memorial Trust, Pourabi distributed urea to farmers at Gem Public School, Pourabi yesterday.

According to Trust secretary Wahengbam Janmenjoy Meetei, the distribution is held every year in the Pourabi area with support from the DAO Imphal East and the Directorate of Agriculture, Government of Manipur, through mobile distribution and the Trust's initiative.

He said farmers in the area face difficulties in procuring urea from government outlets, often waiting one or two days.

To ease this problem, the Trust stepped in to arrange and distribute urea to farmers directly.

Transport and labour charges were borne by the Trust, and urea was provided to the public at the Government rate.

The Trust and local villagers expressed sincere gratitude to the Director of Agriculture and the DAO Imphal East, for their support and cooperation in making the distribution possible.
