Entrepreneurship Development Programme ends

A six-day "Entrepreneurship Development Programme for Agri Graduates and Rural Youth", organised by the Agri-Business Incubation (ABI) unit of the ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Manipur Centre, concluded on March 21.The intensive training, which began on March 16, saw participation from agri-graduates and youths across various parts of the State.
The curriculum focused on imparting practical, income-generating skills, including preparation of fish aquarium, vermicompost production, mushroom cultivation, and soya paneer, cakes & cookies preparation.
The valedictory function was graced by dignitaries, including Dr Ch Basudha Devi, former Head of ICAR Manipur Centre; Dr S Basanta Singh, Head of ICAR Manipur Centre; and Dr Kh Rishikanta Singh, Senior Scientist & In charge, ABI.
Speaking at the event, Dr Ch Basudha emphasized the importance of innovative ideas backed by expert technological support for the success of new entrepreneurs.
Dr S Basanta highlighted the crucial role entrepreneurs play as job creators in achieving the vision of a "Viksit Bharat by 2047", adding that strong entrepreneurial knowledge is vital for securing financial assistance from banks and funding agencies.
Dr Kh Rishikanta expressed confidence that the training would significantly boost the morale and confidence of the State's youth, offering viable, low-investment income alternatives that can be pursued at the household level.
