Parul University launches 'Lakshya 2047 centre for future skills'

Imphal, May 22 2026:
Parul University unveiled 'Lakshya2047: Center for Future Skills', a hub for global future technologies aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.
The centre was inaugurated by Dr Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology, and has been established in association with Ethnotech Academy and the National Skill Development Corporation, said a release.
Lakshya 2047 features a strong NSDC Lab Ecosystem offering hands-on training across domains.
Facilities include NVIDIA Lab for AI and GPU computing, Cisco Lab for cybersecurity, ABB Lab for automation, and ARVR Lab for immersive tech.
Additional labs by ANSYS, Adobe, Autodesk, VLSI, AWS, and Apple provide industry-aligned practical exposure.
Dr Jitendra Singh called the initiative "contemporary and futuristic", noting that India's growth requires active private-sector participation.
Parul University President Dr Devanshu Patel said the centre embodies the university's vision of merging education with industry needs to build a future-ready, ethical ecosystem.
NSDC Vice President Nitin Kapoor said this is the first Centre for Future Skills in Gujarat, with the model now active in 11 institutions and over 50,000 candidates trained.
Ethnotech Academy CEO Dr Kiran Raj anna added that the centre brings elite global certifications to colleges at affordable costs.
The AICTE & AVPL/IDEA Lab Zone will support experimental learning through drone training areas, fabrication centres, and material synthesis labs.
Research facilities like Mind Lab and Sensor Lab further strengthen innovation.
With its globe design reflecting Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, Lakshya 2047 aims to develop talent for emerging technologies while promoting ethical, globally competitive skills.
