CRPF conducts Civic Action Programme

Kangpokpi, November 21 2025:
In a bid to strengthen ties with local communities, the 158th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organized a Civic Action Programme today at K Chiru and K Makhom village, Kangpokpi district, under the aegis of the Manipur Nagaland Sector.
According to a release issued by the CRPF, the initiative aimed to foster goodwill, promote mutual trust, and extend developmental support to the local community.
The programme was led by Sanjay Negi, Commandant of 158 Bn CRPF, in the presence of Achla Ram, 2nd IC, Officer Commanding E/159 Bn, village secretary, village chief and local villagers.
During the programme, the CRPF distributed 12 pigs and mushroom cultivation materials to needy villagers.
Additionally, a two-day training programme was announced to equip villagers with improved skills in mushroom cultivation and pig farming.
Addressing the gathering, Sanjay Negi emphasised the importance of community cooperation in maintaining peace and harmony.
He reaffirmed the CRPF's commitment to supporting the socio-economic development of people living in remote and sensitive areas.
