Imphal, August 20 2025: Four individuals were arrested by Kakching district police along with 1.115 Kg of heroin (No 4) from Wabagai Lamkhai, Kakching district under Hiyanglam police station last night.

During a routine checking exercise, a team of Kakching district police stopped one jeep (Bolero) for checking at Wabagai Lamkhai last night.

During the checking of the vehicle, 91 soap cases containing 1.115 Kg of heroin (No 4) were found concealed inside the vehicle.

As such, all the occupants of the Bolero including the driver were detained on the spot for verification.

They were identified as Thiumai Kaisi (50) s/o (L) Kinhotbou of Tabam village, Tamenglong, Dinthuibou Chawang (27) s/o Maisi Chawang of Tabam village, Tamenglong, Namthonliu Dirinamai (42) w/o (L) Maranlungbou of Makui village, Kangpokpi and Lunghibui (47) w/o Thoidamlungbou of Kawalong, Tamenglong.

All of them were arrested on the spot and the contraband drug was seized along with the Bolero.

They were later handed over Hiyanglam police station for taking up necessary action under ND&PS Act, sources said.
