AR delivers life-saving medical aid to sepsis patient

Assam Rifles personnel at Keithelmanbi Unit Hospital in Imphal West district provided urgent medical assistance to a young woman from Haibung village and successfully averted a potentially fatal medical crisis.
Twenty-eight year old Nemboi was brought to the Unit Hospital in a visibly distressed state, exhibiting symptoms of dizziness, vomiting, and headache, as per a press release issued by IGAR (S) .
On arrival, she was found to be drowsy and disoriented.
Her vital signs were promptly assessed and monitored by the medical team, who initiated a series of diagnostic tests to determine the underlying cause.
Blood investigations revealed a case of severe sepsis.
Recognising the gravity of the situation, the medical staff immediately commenced emergency management.
A combination of intravenous fluids, essential injections, and resuscitative measures were administered without delay.
Under continuous observation and expert care, the patient's condition began to stabilise.
By evening, she showed marked improvement and was discharged in a stable state, much to the family's relief, who extended heartfelt gratitude, concluded the statement.
