Imphal, July 19 2026: Thakurdhon Nritya Kala Mandir, Kwakeithel on Sunday staged "Kangsha Karagar", a dance-drama based on an episode from the Mahabharata.

The production was held at the Mandir's auditorium, Kwakeithel Leimakhujam Leikai, under the Chief Ministergi Artistshinggi Tengbang (CMAT 2025), of the Department of Arts and Culture, Government of Manipur.

The programme was attended byrRetired Additional Chief Engineer Brajabashimayum Ibomcha Sharma, former DDO Leimakhujam Sharatchandra, and LYDA Club advisor Taorem Ibobi among other dignitaries.

Mandir secretary Brajabashimayum Gopal Sharma said the play depicts how truth triumphs over evil, with Lord Krishna defeating tyrant Kangsha.

He added that the performance aims to spread moral values amid prevailing challenges.
