Thoubal, July 19 2025: Citizens over 60 years of age from five Lamding localities came together to form "Senior Citizen Forum Lamding, Thoubal District Manipur" today.

The five localities are Lamding Nasikhong, Lamding Chirapur, Lamding Khumanthem Leikai, Lamding Elangbam Leikai and Lamding Mamang Laishram Leikai.

Konjengbam Shyam was appointed as the president; L Subashchandra as secretary and T Saratchandra Sharma as treasurer.

Altogether an executive body comprising 11 members were appointed today.

Speaking to the press at Ikop Ningthou Laibung today, secretary L Subashchandra said that the Forum was formed "on paper" on January 18 but it has been officially introduced to the public today.
