Imphal, July 16 2025: A book discussion on "Silent Whispers: Voice of the Muffled Melodies", a collection of poems by Misna Chanu, was held at the India International Centre in New Delhi yesterday.

The event featured discussants Malashri Lal, Convenor, English Advisory Board, Sahitya Academy; Payal Nagpal, Professor, Department of English, Janki Devi Memorial College, DU; with Dr Amarendra Khatua, former Secretary.

MEA & DG, ICCR serving as the chair.

Misna Chanu, a bilingual poet, writer, and humanitarian, was also present to share her insights on the collection.

The discussion focused on the book's themes, including the exploration of the soul's journey through poetry, the interplay of joy and sorrow, love and loss, and internal and external conflicts.

The discussants also praised Misna Chanu's ability to convey profound emotions and experiences through her verses, highlighting the book's significance as a mirror to the soul's journey.
