Imphal, December 14 2024: Two books titled, "Nongmaithem Ongbi Sanatombi" and "Sanakonung Amasung Ngangbi Maharani" written by eminent author Kunjalal Yendrembam were released today in a function held at Manipur Press Club, Imphal.

The novel, "Nongmaithem Ongbi Sanatombi" is a biography of Princess Sanatombi, daughter of Maharaja Surchandra.

The book release function was organised by Bindiya Publication, Silchar, Cachar.

It was attended by Cultural Forum Manipur president, Prof Koijam Shantibala; Manipuri Language Advisory Board, Sahitya Academy, former convenor, Nongmaithem Kirankumar and Manipur University, Associate Professor, Dr Chirom Rajketan as presidium members.

During the function, Kunjalal Yendrembam gave a brief introduction of the two books.
