Imphal, November 11 2025: Transporter unions under the All Manipur School Students' Transporter Association (AMSSTA) have resolved to stage a sit-in protest on November 13 against monetary demands/donations by various organisations.

A press release issued by AMSSTA clarified that the protest is not a challenge to any organisation.

Stating that they support their families and make ends meet with the modest income earned from their services, AMSSTA said that monetary demands/donations by different organisations severely affect their livelihood.

It appealed to all organisations to understand their hardships.

AMSSTA further announced that its members will not provide services on November 13 and urged guardians of students and school authorities to excuse them for the disruption in service on that day.
