Imphal, November 05 2026: The oath taking ceremony of the 15th BSc batch of College of Nursing, Lamphelpat was held at the college multipurpose hall today.

Dr N Hemantakumar, Director, Health Services attended as chief guest, while Dr N Surbala, Principal and Dr A Jamuna, Registrar, Nursing Council attended as special guests.

Dr Hemantakumar said the students must be guided, understand the nursing profession, and follow the ideals of Florence Nightingale.

He appealed to students to use mobile phones only for academic purposes.

He said there is no shortage of manpower, but the financial system delays creation of posts.

New posts will be created soon.

Mayang Imphal District Hospital is ready, and State Mental Hospital is nearing completion.

He said the Government is trying to install three MRI machines in Government hospitals.

Position holders were honoured during the event.

Later, N Bindiya administered the oath to 44 students.
