Imphal, May 05 2026: The All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC), Manipur State Committee (MSC) commemorated the 208th birth anniversary of revolutionary German philosopher Karl Marx at Irawat Museum, Lokchao, Santipur Sanjenbam along Tinsid Road today.

At the memorial event, the gathering organised a discussion on the Communist Manifesto which was published 178 years ago and written by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels.

The, event was attended by AITUC/MSC general secretary L Sotinkumar; CITU secretary Ksh Shanta; TUCC secretary Gyaneshwor and UTUC secretary Manoranjan among others.

L Sotinkumar delivered a keynote address on the Communist Manifesto which has been a source of strength to workers across the globe.
