Thoubal, October 04 2025: A one-day awareness programme and symposium competition on "Drug Abuse Prevention" was held today at Fancier Higher Secondary School as part of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.

The event was jointly organised by the State Level Coordinating Agency (SLCA) Manipur and Community Development Programme Center (CDPC) Thoubal under the aegis of the National Institute For Social Defence, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.

Notable dignitaries Aheibam Basantakumar, State Coordinator, SLCA Manipur; Waikhom Biren Singh, Project Coordinator, CDPC Thoubal and Kangabam Saratchandra, Principal, Fancier Higher Secondary School graced the event as the presidium members.

Meanwhile, Counsellor Oken Naoriya was present as the resource person.

Prizes were distributed to the winners of the competition, including the top position holders, namely, Sh Lamta Chanu (1st), Laishram Fajabi Chanu (2nd) and Khumanthem Sanjana Chanu (3rd) .
