Fashion Week Manipur 2025 begins

Imphal, October 31 2025: Celebrating three days of style and heritage, Fashion Week Manipur2025 organised by Hanging Moon kicked off today at City Convention Centre, Palace Compound.

The event was graced by Mrinashree Mairenbam, Joint Director, Art & Culture Department; Yumnam Jagyeshwori, Deputy Director, Directorate of Handloom and Textiles and other eminent personalities of the State.

Addressing the gathering, Mrinashree Mairenbam said that the platform will provide an opportunity to young models and weavers to showcase the handloom and handicraft products of the State.

Beyond fashion, the traditional garments of Manipur are an identity signifier for the people.

Fashion Week Manipur 2025 not only celebrates the beautiful art of Manipur, but also provides a great opportunity to promote it, she added.

Meanwhile, Brojen Longjam, Director, Hanging Moon, said that the event was organised to provide a joint platform to the models, designers and weavers of the State.

At the inaugural event of Fashion Week Manipur 2025, models displayed handloom and handicraft items of notable designers.
