A press communiqu issued by Col S John, General Accounts Officer of the General head quarter, Naga Army said that the Ibobi Singh-led Government has been trying to present a weak financial position of the Manipur government to deprive payment of 3 percent of every fund allocated for the people to the NSCN on account of the fact that the Government of India and NSCN is holding political peace talk, thus, treating it as a separate entity.

Referring to the press statements issued on 22/09/2013 and 18/11/2013, NSCN further stated that it has no intention to hamper the developmental activities in tribal areas but it has to make clear that anyone taking up contract work without obtaining their recommendation or endorsement shall be doing at their own risk.
