Imphal, September 25 2025: Kangleipak Women Multipurpose Co-operative Society Ltd in in collaboration with Thongju Apunba Women Multipurpose Co-operative Society Ltd, Keirao Women Multipurpose Co-operative Society Ltd and Dhurbatara Women Multipurpose Co-operative Society Ltd hosted the inaugural function of "Rural Roots Market" at Irilbung High School ground, Bamon Kampu Gram Panchayat, Imphal East district today.

The inaugural function was graced by dignitaries, including N Bandana Devi, Secretary (Skill, Labour, Employment & Entrepreneurship) and Director, Manipur State Rural Livelihoods Mission (MSRLM); Bendang Aer, DGM, NABARD Manipur Sector; and Dr Nivedita Lairenlakpam, Deputy Commissioner, Imphal East and District Mission Director, MSRLM, Imphal East.

The 'Rural Roots Market' is promoted by MSRLM, Department of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Government of Manipur.

The two-day market will feature 80 stalls showcasing products designed & made by Self Help Groups (SHGs) under 4 Cluster Level Federations (CLFs) of Imphal East-II.

As part of the event, a Facebook Page (social media) of Rural Roots Market was also launched.
