3rd District Conference of AITUC Thoubal held at Khangabok

Thoubal, January 25 2026:
The 3rd District Conference of the All India Trade Union (AITUC) , Thoubal District Committee, was held on Sunday at Tampha Shanglen in Khangabok, to deliberate on key labour and socio-economic issues affecting Manipur and the country.
The conference discussed preparations for the nationwide general strike scheduled on February 12, the consolidation of four labour codes, the proposed renaming of MGNREGA, issues related to minimum wages for scheme workers, and social security concerns of workers.
The conference was attended by AITUC general secretary L Sotinkumar; Thoubal District Pensioners Union president Binodkumar Likmabam; AITUC Thoubal president U Rajmohon; AITUC Manipur working president S Yaima Singh; AITUC Thoubal secretary L Bihari Singh and ASHA Workers Union Thoubal president Samina Begum, among others.
Representatives from various trade unions, including AITUC, CITU, INTUC, TUCC and UTUC, under the Coordinating Body of Trade Unions Manipur, ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers and others attended the conference, highlighting their demands and concerns.
