Imphal, July 23 2026: Caitnya Institute of Sankirtana (CIS), Wangkhei Thangjam Leikai organised a workshop-cum-production on "Pung Cholom da Leichal" at Rupmahal Theatre, BT Road, Imphal.

Ningombam Ranjit Singh, secretary of Rupmahal Theatre, and senior member Moirangthem Bhupen Singh attended the event as dignitaries.

Speaking on the occasion, CIS secretary Takhelambam Naotomba Singh said the institute has been playing a major role in promoting Nat Sankirtana and has trained many students in the art form.

He added that elders have preserved traditional practices and the institute is committed to carrying forward these traditions for future generations.

He further stated that more such workshops will be organised for the benefit of the younger generation to strengthen and preserve the cultural heritage of Manipur.
