Kakching Khunou College holds symposium on ''Inspired by Nature"

Kakching, May 23 2026: As part of the observance of World Environment Day, 2026, Kakching Khunou College organised a college-level symposium on the United Nations theme "Inspired by Nature, For Climate, For Our Future" at the college campus today.

The programme was jointly organised by the NSS Units, IQAC and Eco Club of Kakching Khunou College in collaboration with the Directorate of Environment and Climate Change, Government of Manipur.

Sh Achoubi Devi, Head and Asst Professor of the Physics Department, attended the function as the chief guest.

Academic-incharge of the college, M Iboyaima Singh, presided over the programe, while N Sundari Devi, president of the Employees' Welfare Association of the college, attended as the guest of honour.

The symposium was moderated by Kh Amujao Singh, Coordinator of IQAC .

The keynote address was delivered by Ksh Biren Singh, Programme-in-charge of the event.

In the competition, Salam Prithibiraj Meitei of Class XII Science secured the first position, while Mayanglambam Gudi Devi of Class XII Arts bagged the second position.

Takhellabam Apollo Singh of BSc (2nd semester) secured the third position.

Certificates and prizes were distributed to all participants by the dignitaries.

Altogether eight students took part in the competition.
