Brainstorming session conducted

A brainstorming session on "Commercial Utilization of Science & Technology in Manipur" was held today at the Farmer Convention Centre of the Green Foundation in Kwakeithel Thiyam Leikai.
The brain storming session was organised by the Pan India Manipuri Meitei Scientists & Academicians Association in collaboration with the Green Foundation.
The event was graced by dignitaries, including Dr S Khogenkumar Singh, Scientist, Council of Scientific & Industrial Research- National Institute of Oceanography (CSIR-NIO), Goa; Dr Sobhindro Singh Puyam, Chief Scientist, CSIR-Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSMCRI), Bhavnagar; Dr Arun Oinam, Additional Professor, Radiotherapy & Oncology, PGIMER, Chandigarh; Th Mahendra Pratap Singh, retired Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF), Manipur; Dr Gunadhor S Okram, retired Scientist, UGC-DAE CSR, Indore; Ranjan Kumar Khaidem, Scientist, Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB), Mumbai and president of Pan India Manipuri Meitei Scientists & Academicians Association; and U Himaat, CEO, Green Foundation.
At the event, speakers observed that the commercial utilization of science and technology is progressing, particularly in sectors like agriculture in Manipur.
Stating that science & technology are crucial for a State's sustainable development, they asserted that science & technology provide the knowledge and tools to address challenges related to economic growth, social progress, and environmental protection, ultimately leading to a better quality of life for present and future generations.
The speakers also spoke at length on various ways to improve the socio-economic condition of the people and the need for a management revolution to navigate the complexities of a rapidly changing world.
