Footpath tiles of Govindajee Temple removed

The footpath tiles installed inside the campus of Shree Shree Govindajee Temple have been removed by joint bodies of the Temple Board on the ground that the tile work lacks quality control, causing inconvenience to worshippers.
Addressing media persons at the Temple, here, on Wednesday, Board section officer M Barish Sharma said that the footpath tiles installed inside the temple has no quality maintained.
The issue has been highlighted in the media but the authority concerned did not take up any positive measures and as such all the members of 'Loishang' of the Govindajee Temple removed the tiles.
He also said that there has been threats for speaking out the truth and inconveniences faced by the public.
The Brahmin Seva secretary of the temple, Th Joychandra, who was also present at the press briefing, said that the issue of the substandard tile work inside the temple had been reported to the authorities concerned, but no positive response was received.
He added that temple visitors had lodged complaints on the same on several occasions.
