Ukhrul, December 14 2024:
The Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL) has vehemently condemned the organisers of the programme 'Manipur Indigenous People's Cultural Exchange Festival 2024' .
In a press release, the TNL said it seriously viewed the programme organised by the Indigenous People's Forum Manipur (IPFM) and further clarified that the two day programme at Chadong village, Kamjong district on December 13 and 14, 2024 in the name of Naga community is strongly condemned.
Appropriate action would be initiated against IPFM president Wungnaoshang Kasar of Chadong village for his wrongdoing and dragging Nagas into the Manipur Indigenous People's Cultural Exchange Festival held at Chadong village.
The TNL press statement further mentioned that Indigenous People's Forum Manipur is not recognized by the Tangkhul Naga Long and it is not a legitimate body to organise any programme representing or in the name of Nagas.
This is a total violation and the programme was organised without the consent of TNL, it added.
