Governor, others extend I-Day greetings

Imphal, August 14 2025: Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla has extended heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of Manipur on the occasion of 79th Independence Day.

In his message, the Governor said: "The day reminds us of the courage, sacrifices, and unwavering spirit of countless freedom fighters who laid down their lives for us to live with dignity in a free nation.

Their legacy inspires us to uphold the values of democracy, justice, and unity-principles that continue to guide our Republic.

As we celebrate this national milestone, let us reaffirm our collective resolve to build a progressive, inclusive, and resilient India".

"In Manipur, we take pride in our rich cultural heritage and the contributions of every citizen - be it in service, enterprise, or the arts - to the growth of the state and the nation.

I urge the youth to dedicate themselves to the ideals of hard work, com-passion, and civic responsibility.

Let us strive to make Manipur a beacon of peace and development," he said, wishing that the Independence Day serves as a reminder of the collective responsibility to foster progress and innovation, reinforcing dedication to building a more prosperous future for all.

In separate messages, Manipur Legislative Assembly speaker Th Satyabrata and Singjamei MLA Y Khemchand extended warm greetings to the people and best wishes to all the people of India.

"Let the colours of our tricolour reflect the diversity, courage and promise," they said.
