Ukhrul, September 13 2025: To promote health awareness and emergency preparedness, the Shangshak Battalion of Assam Rifles organized a "First Aid and CPR Workshop" for the residents of Shangshak village in Ukhrul district today marking World First Aid Day.

According to a press release issued by IGAR (South), the event was led by the Medical Team of Assam Rifles and the programme was designed to equip the local populace with essential knowledge and practical skills to respond effectively during medical emergencies.

Participants were guided through critical first aid procedures and engaged in hands-on demonstrations of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) .

The workshop drew enthusiastic participation from villagers across different age groups.
