Imphal, February 11 2026: The cultural landscape of Manipur mourns the loss of Naorem Jeeten Kumar Meitei, a celebrated music director and singer, who passed away recently after a courageous fight against cancer.

Jeeten Kumar, known for his soulful compositions and unwavering dedication to Manipuri arts, left an indelible mark on the region's music scene.

The Cancer Survivors of Manipur (CaSoM) described Jeeten Kumar as a "gifted musician" who faced his illness with remarkable strength, dignity, and resilience, inspiring many through his journey.

In a heartfelt condolence statement, CaSoM expressed deep sorrow over his demise, calling it an "irreparable loss" to his family, loved ones, and the entire artistic fraternity.

"His soulful music and creative legacy will continue to inspire and remain alive in the hearts of many", the organisation stated.

CaSoM extended sincere condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace for Jeeten Kumar's soul and strength for those grieving.
